EastEnders<\/a> star Heather Peace has addressed fan fears that her character Eve Panesar-Unwin and her wife Suki might split after a recent trailer teased some trouble ahead for the couple.<\/p>\n

A new clip<\/a> including some of the Christmas storylines saw some heartache for Suki and Eve ahead<\/a>, with Eve telling someone, “You wouldn’t know what love looked like if you had to pick it out of a police line-up,” and Suki smashing a glass in anger in her kitchen.<\/p>\n

While it hasn’t been confirmed what this massive row is about, Peace appears to think that Eve and Suki are “endgame”.<\/p>\n

The actor celebrated her fifth anniversary on the BBC soap, penning a sweet tribute to her co-stars and fans.<\/p>\n

“It was a little look on the dreaded bird app that told me that it’s been 5 years since Eve Unwin (now Panesar-Unwin) arrived on Albert Square. I don’t know where the time has gone but I’m feeling very blessed,” Peace captioned an Instagram<\/a> collage of her best EastEnders memories.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m thankful for the friends I’ve made, the stories I\u2019ve been a part of and the chance to be a part of something that now holds a special place in my heart so many years later. “<\/p>\n

She continued: “@bbceastenders is a special gig. To friends here now and to those who\u2019ve moved on to pastures new\u2026\u2026 what a blast we have\/had. Thanks for the memories and the support through both highs and lows. Feeling very lucky and blessed to be a part of this team Thanks @katie.facey99 for these collages \ud83d\ude42 Appreciated, H xxx.”<\/p>\n

In response to fans worried that the trailer might spell a separation for Eve and Suki, Peace wrote: “there’s always drama. It’s what the show is. But Suki & Eve are soul mates and nothing can change that.”<\/p>\n

To another fan, who labelled the couple “endgame”, she responded: “My endgame too. Always. But the hurdles are forever I fear.”<\/p>\n

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.<\/p>\n
