Nine Premier League teams are in European action this midweek, with two of them, Aston Villa and Manchester United, contesting UEFA Champions League ties on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Unai Emery and Michael Carrick are thus the first top-flight bosses in front of the media this week, hosting their pre-match pressers on Monday.<\/p>\n

Here are the key injury updates from both press conferences.<\/p>\n

MANCHESTER UNITED<\/p>\n

Patrick Dorgu (hamstring) is back in training with the Red Devils. While Tuesday\u2019s clash with Roma comes too soon for the left-sided Dane, he may be closer to contention by Gameweek 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the first day with the group, Pat, so great to have him back. He\u2019s worked ever so hard to be back with the group, but he won\u2019t be involved tomorrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll see how he progresses through the week, really, but, yeah, it\u2019s great to have him back.\u201d \u2013 Michael Carrick on Patrick Dorgu<\/p>\n

Luke Shaw (unspecified) and Marcus Rashford (hip)\u00a0will miss out again in midweek, along with longer-term absentees Manuel Ugarte (knee) and Benjamin Sesko (calf).\u00a0Shaw won\u2019t return before the international break, either.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuke definitely won\u2019t be around this week and fit at that point. Marcus, we\u2019ll just have to see, day by day, how he keeps improving.\u201d \u2013 Michael Carrick<\/p>\n

Amad Diallo, who was withdrawn at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and flagged by FPL, has trained today.<\/p>\n

Leny Yoro is also fine, despite being bothered by a tendon issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeny has just had a bit of a tendon [problem], really. It\u2019s one of them that comes and goes. But he\u2019s managing it, he\u2019s been fine.\u201d \u2013 Michael Carrick on Leny Yoro<\/p>\n

Lisandro Martinez is able to feature against Roma but will be suspended for the Villa match on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

ASTON VILLA<\/p>\n

Unai Emery\u2019s press conference was completely devoid of injury news.<\/p>\n

Saying that, we\u2019re not aware of any issues beyond Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Matteo Ruggeri (both hamstring) and long-term absentee Amadou Onana (knee).<\/p>\n

Wan-Bissaka is earmarked for a return to training this week<\/a> and could feature in Gameweek 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Matty Cash will be suspended for Sunday\u2019s trip to Old Trafford but can play in European competition.<\/p>\n

Not much to report from Emery\u2019s presser, then, bar a question on Johan Manzambi.<\/p>\n

\u201cManzambi is a young talent. How he is progressing, how he is adapting to us, is really very good. He has qualities, skills, he has mentality and his progression is going well. He was injured and now he\u2019s getting better, understanding how we want to play. He can play, being versatile, in different positions in the attacking third.
