{"id":82327,"date":"2025-08-21T10:06:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T10:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/82327\/"},"modified":"2025-08-21T10:06:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T10:06:08","slug":"evander-holyfield-says-there-is-no-debate-on-who-the-greatest-heavyweight-ever-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/82327\/","title":{"rendered":"Evander Holyfield Says There Is No Debate On Who The Greatest Heavyweight Ever Is"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/evander-holyfield\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Evander Holyfield<\/a> has revealed who he believes to be the greatest heavyweight to have ever graced the sport.<\/p>\n<p>Known as \u2018The Real Deal\u2019, Holyfield had an exceptional professional career of his own where he became the undisputed world champion at both cruiserweight and heavyweight.<\/p>\n<p>He racked up a number of legacy defining victories during his impressive campaign at heavyweight, defeating the likes of Riddick Bowe, Michael Moorer and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/mike-tyson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Tyson<\/a> to name just a few.<\/p>\n<p>Although many fans and analysts around the world believe the late, great three-time world heavyweight champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/muhammad-ali\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Muhammad Ali<\/a> stands out as being the greatest heavyweight of all time, Holyfield has now spoken out and had his say.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Seconds Out, \u2018The Real Deal\u2019 sensationally claimed that he believes that he is actually the greatest heavyweight in boxing history, ranking himself higher than the legendary Ali.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m the only four-time heavyweight champion of the world but they are still talking about Ali when I broke his record. I\u2019ve been the only four-time heavyweight champion of the world for 24 years.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u2019t talk about it until you break someone\u2019s record, they don\u2019t say nothing about me. How do you cut somebody out of history? Now I didn\u2019t even know I was the first person to be undisputed in two weight divisions, until Usyk did it.<\/p>\n<p>They keep saying Ali is the best fighter, no I am. He was three times, I\u2019m four.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ali rose to stardom during the 1960s although the bulk of his success came during that golden era throughout the 1970s.
