\n Agricultural consultants at Brown&Co<\/a> came up with the idea to recognise the long hours arable growers are working to bring in the crops that feed the nation.\n<\/p>\n

\n Bags brimming with locally-produced cakes, crisps, fruit and other snacks have been handed out by staff at the firm\u2019s King\u2019s Lynn office.\n<\/p>\n

\n The initiative also aims to spread awareness of the mental health support provided by Brown&Co\u2019s charity of the year, the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).\n<\/p>\n

\n Tucked in among the food gifts was\u00a0information on RABI and how farmers can access help from the charity, should they need it.\n<\/p>\n

\n The surprise deliveries were handed out\u00a0as farmers\u00a0worked on their combines and tractors during the long, hot summer days<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We want to let farmers know how grateful we are for everything they do, these parcels are a small token of our appreciation to let them know that they are not alone,” she said.\n<\/p>\n

\n “The farmers thought it was brilliant and they really appreciated the effort everyone had gone to in going to their farms to present them with the harvest bags.\n<\/p>\n

\n “It brightened their day and showed them that their hard work is very much appreciated.”\n<\/p>\n

\n Local businesses and community colleagues contributed to the gift packages, with King\u2019s Lynn-based Simply Cake Co donating white chocolate and raspberry blondies, drinks from Cawston Press\u00a0and support from Litcham Deli.\n<\/p>\n
