A Gogglebox<\/a> star has been showered in support after having to undergo emergency surgery.<\/p>\n

Melbourne-based TV personality Anastasia Katselas, who rose to fame on the Australian version of the show<\/a> in 2015, revealed to her followers that she was rushed to hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n

Anastasia took to Instagram<\/a> to share a video, saying she had undergone an emergency hysterectomy. She revealed doctors had found cancer in her uterus just days ago after concern from a smear test.<\/p>\n

She began: \u201cI had a little bit of a health scare, I went into hospital on Tuesday after I got diagnosed with cancer in my uterus so I had an emergency hysterectomy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m fine, I\u2019m home now, I stayed in hospital on Tuesday, Wednesday, came home Thursday, I\u2019m fine, just a bit sore, recovering well.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on: \u201cIt was a big scare, but thank God they caught it early and I am fine. But I urge all you women, make sure that you do your pap smears regularly, don’t wait, don’t forget about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to do them regularly and I think the last few years I didn\u2019t go, I can’t remember the last time I went.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI happened to go to the doctor, because I had a concern, and they did a pap smear and lo and behold a week later I am in hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey said they caught it early, but I am still waiting for the after surgery tests, and hopefully, the doctor said it did not spread, so hopefully I will be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRecovering after surgery. I’m. Fine. Very lucky,\u201d she said in the caption. \u201c@cabrinihealth @drtommanolitsis @allmedicalwantirna thank you for looking after me so promptly. God saved me again. Thank you God.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans rushed to share their support, with one writing: \u201cSending love and well wishes for a speedy recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cWhat?!! Hope you\u2019re okay and have a speedy recovery!!! Glad you got it early xxx.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOmg! Thank god they got it early. And you\u2019re recovering. How traumatic for you and the family. Always have to have things checked. Speedy recovery Anastasia,\u201d a third said.<\/p>\n

Anastasia appears on Gogglebox with her best friend Faye, with the pair having starred as telly critics since its first season.<\/p>\n

As the hit show entered its 21st season earlier this year, the pair told TV Week about their future on the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be there in our rocking chairs,\u201d Anastasia laughed. \u201cI love everything about it!
