ORLANDO, Florida \u2014 Pedro Conceicao entered Friday with his sights set on earning a contract with Jake Paul\u2019s Most Valuable Promotions.<\/a>
Time will only tell if Conceicao<\/a> signs with them, but one thing is for certain: he landed one of the most devastating knockouts you’ll ever see in the card’s opener on Most Valuable Prospects 14.<\/p>\n

Conceicao landed a huge overhand right that sent Renny Viamonte Mastrapa to the canvas in a heap as referee Alicia Collins immediately stopped their scheduled six-round contest early at Caribe Royale.<\/p>\n

“I never did this before,” Conceicao told The Ring<\/a> of the knockout. “This is my first time. I worked too much for this in my life. When I saw him down in the ring, I was like, ‘Whoa, the fight is over.'”<\/p>\n

After a mundane first round, Conceicao’s corner saw the opening for the fight-ending shot. With just over one minute left in round two, he feinted with a jab before following that with a haymaker of an overhand right which connected square on Viamonte’s chin.<\/p>\n

The knockout victory was a third consecutive one for Conceicao (5-0, 3 KOs) of Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil. <\/p>\n

Viamonte (4-3-1, 2 KOs) had gone eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather-backed teenage prodigy Curmel Moton<\/a> as part of the Caleb Plant-Armando Resendiz undercard on May 31<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“My corner told me jab to the head, the body and [throw] the overhand,” Conceicao said. “I feel amazing, it’s a gift for me. I didn’t see my family for two years – I worked too hard for this.” <\/p>\n
