It was to be the fourth launch of the year of Starship, the largest rocket on Earth and the successor to SpaceX&#8217;s Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets.\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Standing down from today&#8217;s tenth flight of Starship to allow time to troubleshoot an issue with ground systems,&#8221; the company said in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SpaceX\/status\/1959755893324865963?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a post<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n<p>The last time SpaceX attempted to test the Starship, Flight 9 in June, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/Science_News\/2025\/06\/19\/Starship-explosion\/8081750315491\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">it exploded<\/a> during a preflight procedure on the launch pad. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/Science_News\/2025\/03\/06\/spacex-starship8-launch\/4691741297630\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Flight 8<\/a>, on March 6, lost contact minutes after launch, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upi.com\/Science_News\/2025\/01\/16\/stareship-explodes-minutes-after-launch\/9421737073195\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Flight 7<\/a> exploded shortly after launch.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Sunday, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Fla., loaded with 5,000 pounds cargo for the International Space Station.
