Peter Andre has made a confession about his bedroom antics with his wife Dr Emily MacDonagh as he responded to Perrie Edwards’ admission that she and fianc\u00e9 Alex have never lived in the same house<\/p>\n

Peter Andre has opened up about his bedroom arrangements with wife Emily MacDonagh. Peter and Emily have been married for years and they share three children together, <\/a>as well as Emily being a stepmum to Peter’s eldest children – Princess and Junior.<\/a><\/p>\n

He was commenting on Little Mix<\/a> star Perrie Edwards’ admission that she and her son Axel have never lived in the same house as her fiance – and whilst he said it wasn’t for him, he championed her decision.<\/p>\n

Speaking in his column for OK! magazine,<\/a> he said: “Apparently, Perrie Edwards and her son have never lived in the same house as her fianc\u00e9 and Axel\u2019s dad, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. I\u2019m a firm believer in people doing whatever works for them.<\/p>\n

“If you watch period dramas like Downton Abbey, it was common for couples not to share a room. But I wouldn\u2019t want to not sleep in the same bed as my wife. For one, we watch our fave TV series in bed, so no separate rooms for us, LOL!”<\/p>\n

Speaking previously, Emily revealed what it was like being a stepmother to Junior and Princess, Peter’s children with Katie Price<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She said of becoming a stepmum: “That is a role you are instantly kind of\u2026 you’re in. You’ve got two children in your lives straight away. It sort of built slowly, because I think I wouldn\u2019t expect to step into that role immediately.<\/p>\n

“And I was young as well, you know, so I think we were always really cautious in the beginning about, you know, how much I was around. And we joke about this now with the kids, it\u2019s so funny, but we didn\u2019t share a bedroom for the first year that we were together. Because, when the kids were there\u2026 you know, because he wanted to be respectful.2<\/p>\n

Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher<\/a> on her Happy Mum Happy Baby, she added: “And I really – I actually really admired that at the time, that he always would put them first in everything. I thought that was really lovely.”<\/p>\n

Emily feels “lucky” that she has always been accepted as part of the family. She added: “I always feel lucky that they’ve kind of accepted me into their family. And I think then, when we had Millie and Theo – and Belle as well – it kind of cements you even more as a family. But I always feel like, you know, I’m not their mum, and that’s something I always have to make sure I tread carefully with. I always see it, I think I would see it a bit more like being a big sister.<\/p>\n

2Which, I don’t know if that’s the right way to look at it, but I think, you know, I always try and give them guidance, but I wouldn\u2019t overstep that. Like, I obviously try and support them like I would do with my own kids. I always try and be the same. I\u2019m quite strict though, on my kids. That’s what I would say to the older kids -it’s lucky there’s an age gap, you know? Because then you guys don\u2019t need to worry about, like, silly rules I have – screen time and stuff like that. I\u2019m like, you guys can be exempt because you’re older. The age gap is enough that my kids don\u2019t ask the question, \u201cWell, why are they allowed to have the screens?”<\/p>\n
