Amir Khan<\/a> has weighed in on the upcoming controversial Jake Paul<\/a> vs. Gervonta Davis<\/a> fight.<\/p>\n

It was announced last week that a shock match-up between YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul and reigning WBA lightweight champion Davis will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday 14 November.<\/a><\/p>\n

The weight for the contest is still yet to be revealed, but with \u2018Tank\u2019 campaigning at 135lbs and \u2018The Problem Child\u2019 weighing 227lbs for his heavyweight bout with Mike Tyson<\/a> last November, there is expected to be a big difference between the two men.<\/p>\n

Some of boxing\u2019s biggest names have already had their say on the clash, and now former super-lightweight world champion Khan is the latest to do so, having been briefly linked himself to a fight against Paul in the past.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Ring Magazine, Khan condemned the match-up, but believes that Paul could potentially \u2018torture\u2019 Davis in the bout.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a really bad mismatch, and whoever the promoter who has agreed for Gervonta to fight, and the promoter for Jake Paul to fight this little man, it\u2019s wrong man. It\u2019s wrong, it\u2019s like torture. Going in there and hurting someone is just not fair on Davis.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe Davis just wants to cash up and walk away from the sport. I think they\u2019re making boxing a joke really, and one day someone is going to get hurt badly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Khan isn\u2019t the only one to feel that Davis may be eyeing up retirement after the bout with Paul, but \u2018Tank\u2019 has now come out himself and revealed what his future plans are.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Amir Khan has weighed in on the upcoming controversial Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight.
