Former UFC star Luke Rockhold is more than confident of securing a big win in his return against Darren Till.<\/p>\n

A former middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold<\/a>, returns to the ring this weekend atop Misfits Boxing 22, taking on fellow Octagon veteran Darren Till<\/a> in a high-profile showdown in Manchester.<\/p>\n

And enjoying a mixed bag of success since his UFC departure, Rockhold scored an impressive knockout win over Joe Schilling<\/a>, after a defeat to Mike Perry in a one-off cameo with the BKFC.<\/p>\n

But just days out from his fight with Liverpool star Till, former Strikeforce star Rockhold<\/a> is confident of emulating similar success.<\/p>\n

Luke Rockhold vows to knock out Darren Till in three rounds<\/p>\n

A huge submission threat earlier in his mixed martial arts career, Rockhold would rack up some notable knockouts later during his stint in the cage as well.<\/p>\n

Most notably winning the UFC middleweight title with a knockout of Chris Weidman<\/a>, Rockhold needed four rounds to do so, however.<\/p>\n

But in a bold pre-fight prediction, he vowed to stop Till inside just three rounds this weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m putting you down in 3 [rounds], D (Darren Till),\u201d Rockhold posted on his official Instagram account.<\/p>\n

And whilst lacing up the gloves once more this weekend for his grudge match with Till, Santa Cruz native Rockhold has not locked the door on a return to mixed martial arts competition.<\/p>\n

Luke Rockhold lays out demands for possible UFC comeback<\/p>\n

Seeing the middleweight landscape uprooted since his exit, Rockhold recently teased a potential return to the UFC.<\/p>\n

Weighing in on the newly-crowned divisional champion Khamzat Chimaev<\/a> and his future run at the top of the division, Rockhold speculated a certain contender may have the mettle to end his run early<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As far as his own potential return is concerned, however, Rockhold admitted he would have some lofty demands which would need to be met<\/a> in order for him to make a comeback.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026Why the f\u2014 would I go back to MMA? There would have to be a big opportunity and a big reason.
