TV presenter Laura Woods<\/a> has opened up about the “very awful times” she and fianc\u00e9 Adam Collard<\/a> have endured after she suffered a miscarriage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Laura, 38, posted on Instagram<\/a> a clip of Adam on Channel 4<\/a> show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins<\/a> and gushed about her “big, beautiful man” in the wake of their tragedy. When former Love Island<\/a> contestant Adam, 29, took part in the programme, he burst into tears<\/a> as he recalled the miscarriage.<\/p>\n

And in the clip Laura posted yesterday, Adam spoke about losing his unborn baby. Captioning her post, Laura wrote: “”We really had some very awful times last year, but this big, beautiful man has got me through every one of them… And I’ve been so very proud watching him on this.”<\/p>\n

Laura and Adam have been dating since October 2023. They became engaged in September last year and welcomed a son named Leo in January this year<\/a>. The mum said her son has helped her find comfort during her difficult time.<\/p>\n

A further Instagram post reads: “Sometimes I look at Leo and I think of the baby we’ll never meet, while also knowing we wouldn’t have Leo without it happening. It’s a very confusing feeling.<\/p>\n

“When it happened a wonderful nurse in the hospital said to me – this little one wasn’t meant for this world<\/a>, so this process is its way of keeping you safe… And that really did fill me with a lot of comfort. So I thought I’d share that in case there’s anyone reading that has been affected by miscarriage too. Lots of love.”<\/p>\n

Personal trainer Adam paid tribute to Laura, who works for ITV<\/a> among other broadcasters, in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The dad, originally from Newcastle, even said he felt it was “bad karma” for his previous “love rat” persona<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the dad almost backed out of participating on Celeb SAS after the difficult few months. He said: “We, erm lost something…when it was really close to getting there a second time and telling everyone.”<\/p>\n

As the tears fell, the staff clarified that he was talking about a miscarriage and Adam nodded. The personal trainer added: “I think I was proud of the fact that I was excited for it, which I didn’t think I ever would be… And when it got taken away, and it was 10 times worse for her, I think it hit us like a tonne of bricks.”<\/p>\n
