Be part of an organization that champions innovation, teamwork, and career growth. <\/p>\n<p>JOB SUMMARY<\/p>\n<p>The Employment Navigator is a dedicated, frontline Francophone resource positioned at the heart of the Navigating to Employment project. The Employment Navigator\u2019s purpose is to actively connect Francophone job seekers in minority settings to the most relevant and effective employment, training, and community supports available, while ensuring that all interactions and resources reflect the linguistic and cultural reality of Ontario\u2019s Francophone communities. <\/p>\n<p>The Employment Navigator functions as a connector and facilitator, ensuring that Francophone clients are aware of, welcomed into, and successfully engaged with the most appropriate employment and training pathways available.<\/p>\n<p>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tProvide personalized, culturally relevant navigation services, including needs identification, orientation to available services, and individualized guidance to support clients in achieving their employment goals.<br \/>\u2022\tProvide an active offer of service in French at every point of client contact, ensuring services are proactively offered in French and not only upon request.<br \/>\u2022\tProactively identify and engage Francophone job seekers who are not currently connected to traditional employment services, through targeted outreach, participation in community events, and partnerships with Francophone organizations.<br \/>\u2022\tBuild and maintain relationships with employers, community groups, and service partners to increase opportunities for Francophone clients, promote inclusive hiring, and strengthen local referral networks.<br \/>\u2022\tSupport clients in their employment journey, including job search assistance, career planning, access to skills development or training programs, and facilitation of labour market integration.<br \/>\u2022\tEnsure that all tools, resources, and communications provided to clients are available in French and tailored to reflect the lived reality of Francophone communities in Ontario.<br \/>\u2022\tUse approved systems and tools to record client interactions, track progress toward outcomes, and produce required data reports in accordance with timelines and quality standards.<br \/>\u2022\tContribute to project performance targets by tracking employment outcomes, documenting outreach activities, and monitoring client satisfaction indicators.<br \/>\u2022\tCoordinate closely with other funded programs (e.g., Employment Ontario, IRCC-funded settlement services, youth employment programs, disability inclusion initiatives) to ensure services are complementary and non-duplicative.<br \/>\u2022\tParticipate in professional development, provincial training sessions, and peer learning opportunities, applying new knowledge and practices to improve service delivery.<br \/>\u2022\tContribute to the development and application of best practices and tools, including participation in the creation and use of a best practices guide and enhanced Client Relationship Management platform.<br \/>\u2022\tShare promising practices and lessons learned with other Navigators and service providers across the network to strengthen collective capacity.<br \/>\u2022\tSupport visibility and outreach efforts by distributing approved marketing materials, representing the program at community and employer events, and promoting the official Navigating to Employment brand once launched.<br \/>\u2022\tEngage in project evaluation activities, including surveys, interviews, and the provision of qualitative and quantitative data.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATION \/ WORK EXPERIENCE<br \/>\u2022\tPost-secondary diploma in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.<\/p>\n<p>LANGUAGE<br \/>\u2022\tProficiency in French, both oral and written<br \/>\u2022\tProficiency in additional languages is considered an asset<\/p>\n<p>KNOWLEDGE\/EXPERIENCE <br \/>\u2022\tSkilled in counselling techniques, needs assessments, and supporting individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.<br \/>\u2022\tConfident in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including employers.<br \/>\u2022\tStrong communication skills: active and reflective listening, persuasive messaging, professional writing, and respectful verbal interactions.<br \/>\u2022\tExperienced in Motivational Interviewing, de-escalation strategies, and trauma-informed, culturally appropriate support.<br \/>\u2022\tDemonstrates adaptability, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.<br \/>\u2022\tOrganized and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.<br \/>\u2022\tCommitted to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and solutions-focused workplace culture.<br \/>\u2022\tCapable of designing and facilitating workshops and orientation sessions.<br \/>\u2022\tDemonstrates proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools\u2014including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.<\/p>\n<p>OTHER<br
