Fashion mavens shimmered and shone earlier this month as Arc of San Diego presented the annual Winter Wonderland Fashion Show & Luncheon on Dec. 5 at the historic US Grant Hotel.

This year’s theme, “Shimmer & Glimmer,” set the tone, and the audience arrived wearing gold and silver in keeping with the holiday spirit.

The event began with a reception featuring boutique shopping and a silent auction. Event chairs Maria Stanley, Laura Applegate, Cece Drummon, Erica Ram, Malissa Sanfilippo, and Jenny Seligmann hosted a memorable afternoon with Dr. Howard and Barbara Milstein serving as honorable chairs.

The emcee, Mary Murphy, ballroom dance champion and television personality, kept the audience entertained with her charming personality. As guests enjoyed a mouthwatering luncheon, high-energy auctioneer Clint Bell led an engaging live auction.

Anticipation filled the room as guests awaited the fashion show highlighting the latest holiday looks. Style personality, Leonard Simpson, wowed the audience with a dazzling runway presentation.

The show opened with designs by Debbie Nghiem, featuring models dressed in radiant gold ensembles that perfectly reflected the theme. The excitement continued through each segment, building to a sparkling finale by Mario’s Boutique, filled with glimmer and shine.

Proceeds from the event support more than 2,000 children and adults in San Diego with disabilities each year, such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. All funds raised benefit The Arc of San Diego’s life-changing programs. For more information on The Arc of San Diego, visit arc-sd.com.
