Kings at Trail Blazers picks and predictionsPrediction

Trail Blazers 124, Kings 118

Backing Trail Blazers (-350) straight up will cost you 3 1/2 times your potential return, and that’s just a crazy amount of risk for such a small return, even if Portland should be able to get the job done. The only way this is a worthwhile play is folding it into a multi-leg parlay with at least 5 or 6 parts.

PASS for a straight up bet.

The KINGS +8.5 (-105) are the play catching more than 4 buckets in the front end of this home-and-home set.

The Trail Blazers have been hot against the number lately, going 5-2 ATS in the past 7 games. But, they’re 0-1 ATS in the only game they were favored in that span. In fact, they lost outright, 143-120, at New Orleans on Dec. 11. Portland is 0-7-1 ATS in the past 8 tries as a favorite, too, so play the trends.

The OVER 238.5 (-110) is the way to go despite this being an awfully high number.

The Over is 3-1 in the past 4 games for Portland and the total has gone high in 8 of 9 games when the Blazers are favored this season. That’s too much to ignore.

But be cautious as the Under is 5-1 in the past 6 games for Sacramento and a perfect 4-0 in the past 4 road outings.
