FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for much of Fresno County, creating potentially hazardous driving conditions overnight into Friday morning.

The National Weather Service says the advisory is in effect from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.

Visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less in some areas, especially along highways, rural roads and low-lying portions of the Central Valley.

The fog is expected to impact Fresno, as well as: Clovis, Kerman, Sanger and parts of western Fresno County.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use low beam headlights, and allow extra time for their morning commute. The National Weather Service Hanford also recommends leaving additional distance between cars in front of you and being alert for sudden changes in visibility.
