BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A driver was cited for allegedly going 129 mph on Highway 99 in Kern County.
CHP Bakersfield said speed is one of the most common factors in crashes.
In a social media post, they said, “We’d like to remind everyone to slow down, follow speed limits, buckle up, and never drive impaired. “
The post included two photos. One photo was a citation that read the driver was going about 129 mph in a 70 mph zone on southbound Highway 99, near Olive Drive.
CHP said if you suspect an impaired driver, pull over to a safe location and call 911 with the vehicle description, license plate number, location, and direction of travel.
