Man arrested for killing his father during fight in Northeast Fresno home, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A man has been arrested after Fresno Police say he killed his father in a fight Thursday night.

Officers were called to a home on North Barton Avenue near Cedar and Nees avenues for a report of a disturbance.

The caller, later identified as 69-year-old Perry Michael Huffman, said he had been in a fight with his father, 90-year-old Perry Leon Huffman.

Inside the home, officers found the older man unresponsive on the ground with severe trauma to his body.

Medical personnel tried to save his life but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officer say the son peacefully exited the home and was arrested. Detectives later determined that he was visiting from out of state.
