Inspired by ‘90s Christmas family comedy Home Alone, the movie tribute/ attempt to break a record stands just over 25 feet tall, 58 feet long and 42 feet wide. Its 4,400 gingerbread brick tiles and 800 roof tiles is held together with 20 gallons of edible glue and 20 pounds of fondant.

No, you can’t eat it, but Angelenos are welcome to come by for holiday fun. Bringing an unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots is encouraged.

“Disney+ is excited to celebrate a movie that’s become such a holiday staple for families everywhere, mine included,” said Zack Jerome, vice president of brand and marketing Strategy, Disney+. “We can’t wait to bring elements from the film into the real world so people can experience them up close.”

Los Angeles has gotten in on plenty of Home Alone fun as the movie celebrates its 35th anniversary. Among its many screenings around town, the most coveted was perhaps the Dec. 13 showing at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which included a conversation between star Macaulay Culkin and director Chris Columbus. Across town, Prince St. Pizza has transformed into Little Nero’s Pizza from the movie until Dec. 21 where you can get a lovely pizza just for you.
