FRESNO, CA (KSEE/KGPE) – It’s another milestone win for Ryan McCarthy in his first season with Fresno State Women’s Basketball.

Bulldogs blow by Wyoming 53-36 for their initial Mountain West win of the season. Dominating on both ends after a slow start in the first quarter. Fresno State forces 24 Cowgirl turnovers on the day, while Sophomore guard Danae Powell goes off for a team-high 17 points (6-6 FG) and 7 rebounds.

Adding major contributions as well for the ‘Dogs was Forward Avery Watkins. Continuing her hot play as of late with 12 points and 6 rebounds in just over 20 minutes of action on the floor.

To Coach McCarthy, this marks just ‘another’ victory in his inaugural year. Noting his dedication to building Fresno State Women’s Basketball into a premier program within the conference in the coming years.

Up next, the Bulldogs will hit the road for two straight games. Starting with a trip to Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve to take on the UNLV Lady Rebels (7-5, 2-0).
