FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — A woman died on Friday when her vehicle veered off Highway 168 in Fresno County, plummeting 150 feet down a ravine.
The incident was reported by a witness at 12:22 p.m. on Highway 168 near Auberry Road.

Officials say the solo vehicle was traveling westbound at high speed, drifted off the road without braking, struck a guardrail, and went airborne.
Firefighters from Cal Fire and Fresno County Fire responded to the scene, roping down the hill to reach the crash site.
They discovered a single female driver in her forties, who was pinned inside the vehicle.
She was declared dead at the scene before removing her from the wreckage.
