Major storms are soaking Northern California, causing flooding in parts, with more intense rain and wind expected to be impactful through Christmas.
The storms hitting California have already turned deadly in Redding.
Heavy rain is bringing standing water on Bay Area roads Monday morning.
Storms are forecasted through Christmas, likely bringing more flooding to areas as they increase in intensity.
Forecasters say Monday offers the last chance to prepare for more impactful weather before two stronger storm systems arrive Tuesday into Wednesday and again Wednesday into Thursday.

Flood alerts expanded to entire Bay Area starting Tuesday
Flood alerts have been expanded to include the entire Bay Area by Tuesday.
The entire region will be under a Flood Watch starting Tuesday, and the alert has extended through Friday.
The North Bay is already under a Flood Watch Monday.

In Placer County, nine people were rescued from a home as rising river waters closed in from heavy rainfall, trapping them inside.

Apparently they saved more than just people from the high water; they also found some goats that were stranded on someone’s doorstep.
