FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A fire burned down a vacant house and damaged two surrounding houses in the area of Roosevelt Avenue on Friday.
Fresno firefighters responded to a house fire on the 1000 block of North Roosevelt Avenue just before 7:30 p.m.
When they arrived, fire could be seen coming out of a boarded-up house and threatening to spread to the neighboring houses.
Firefighters adopted a defensive strategy due to the intensity and compromised condition of the vacant house while working to protect the adjacent homes.
A second and third alarm were called to bring additional resources.

The vacant house was destroyed, with one neighboring home suffering major damage and another minor damage.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
