There were no injuries reported when a long-vacant building near Gilman and Second streets caught fire early Tuesday morning, fire officials said.
Deputy Fire Chief Keith May said reports of a structure fire came in beginning around 3:55 a.m. and that when firefighters arrived, they discovered the “large commercial building on fire.”

Firefighters have put out the fire, but the cause of the fire is under investigation, May said.
Tuesday’s fire was in the same block where a September fire torched two buildings at the old Pacific Steel Casting Company site.
