BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Several areas across Kern County are experiencing power outages on Tuesday.

Shafter:

In Shafter, there was a power outage reported at 12:46 p.m., impacting 1,850 customers. A crew is on scene. No time for restoration was listed.

Bakersfield:

A power outage was reported in the Quailwood neighborhood at 12:28 p.m. It is impacting 966 customers. The area also covers parts of the shopping center on California Avenue and Stockdale Highway such as Vons, Home Goods, Dollar Tree, Chuze Fitness, Aldi’s, Chick-fil-a, CVS, In-n-Out and more. Power is estimated to be restored at 5:15 p.m., according to the PG&E’s website.

Fort Tejon/Lebec:

A power outage is reported in the Fort Tejon area at around 1:48 p.m.

It is impacting 617 customers. A crash was reported at the same time on northbound Interstate 5 near Grapevine Road, damaging power poles.

There is no estimated time on power restoration.
