Police asked for the public’s help Tuesday as they looked for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian over the weekend, leaving the victim with severe injuries.

The Fullerton Police Department said the crash happened at around 10:20 p.m. Saturday on South Gilbert Street near Carol Drive.

When officers responded to the scene, they found the male victim, lying on the street with traumatic head injuries. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Investigators believe the hit-and-run driver traveled in a white four-door sedan.

“The suspect vehicle is believed to have front-end damage,” the police department said in a statement.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run collision was urged to contact Fullerton Police Traffic Accident Investigator Manes at 714-738-6815 or jmanes@fullertonpd.org.
