BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The California Highway Patrol closed the westbound lanes of Highway 58 at Cameron Canyon early Thursday morning due to mud sliding into the roadway.
Drivers were diverted off the highway at Exit 172. The California Department of Transportation is working to get stuck drivers out of the mud and clear the roadway.
There is no word on when the road will reopen.
