FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A neighbor dispute in Fresno turned deadly on Tuesday when 74-year-old John Gentry allegedly shot and killed his neighbor, 64-year-old Mark Tarasevic.

Officers responded around 6:15 p.m. to the scene near Clinton Ave. and Bond St. after a gunshot was reported.

When officers arrived, they found Tarasevic suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Gentry was arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail on a charge of murder.

Police say they recovered the firearm used in the crime.
