A solo vehicle rollover was reported late Friday morning along Highway 178 near the mouth of the Kern River Canyon, according to incident dispatch records.

The collision was reported at approximately 11:12 a.m. on Dec. 26 on eastbound Highway 178, roughly four miles east of the mouth of the canyon. Initial logs describe a gray sedan that rolled over, with dispatch notes indicating a possible occupant pinned inside the vehicle at the time of the report.

Emergency communications records show multiple response codes were issued shortly after the call was received, including a 1039 notification to emergency coordination. Units were assigned and en route by approximately 11:16 a.m.

As of the latest available update, no official information has been released regarding injuries, road closures, or traffic impacts. It remains unclear whether the reported pin-in was confirmed upon responder arrival.
