BAKERSFIELD, Calif KBAK/KBFX — The Bakersfield Police Department announced the arrest of 18-year-olds Estevan Romero-Valencia and Joshua Camarena for a deadly shooting that killed 15-year old Jacob Jesus Hernandez on September 26, 2025.
The Bakersfield Police Department responded to the area of Highland Knolls Drive and Morning Drive for reports of a shooting around 11:42 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found two teen boys suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 4200 block of Morning Drive.
Hernandez T and a 15-year-old were taken to a hospital, where the 15-year-old died from his injuries.
