The Chicago Bears will battle the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football, where there’s plenty at stake amid the NFC playoff race for both teams.
The Bears are coming off an improbable comeback win over the Green Bay Packers, where they won 22-16 in overtime. Quarterback Caleb Williams led four consecutive scoring drives, including in overtime, while the defense came up with big stops (holding Green Bay to 0-for-5 in the red zone) and takeaways. Chicago earned its first playoff bid since 2020, and the NFC North can be theirs with a win.
Heading into Sunday night’s matchup against the 49ers, the weather shouldn’t be a factor (unlike the last two games for Chicago). The only real advantage for San Francisco here is the time difference from central to pacific standard time.
