McFarland Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Chevron gas station on Dec. 26.
Officers responded to the scene at 100 West Sherwood Ave. around 8:33 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident.
Surveillance footage revealed three suspects arriving in a dark gray Kia Optima with black rims.
The suspects, armed with firearms, entered the business and executed the robbery. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among employees or customers.
The business owner reported the theft of two cash registers, valued at approximately $35,000, along with about $1,000 in cash. Investigators discovered that the vehicle used in the robbery had been reported stolen from the Bakersfield Police Department’s jurisdiction.
The stolen car was found abandoned the following morning. Authorities are actively pursuing leads, and the investigation is ongoing.
