The Fresno Chaffee Zoo recently welcomed baby rhino Eloise to their savanna exhibit, and she absolutely cannot be any cuter!

As this footage of her first steps in her new habitat shows, Eloise is already fitting right in and could not be any happier at her new home.

According to this video, Fresno Zoo visitors can catch Eloise at the zoo’s African Adventure exhibit, where she is currently running and hopping around like a free-spirited human child while her mother watches over her.

Her enthusiasm in this footage is undeniably adorable! Just look at the way she hops around like a little bunny, so full of joy and happiness. Eloise is downright inspiring!

As curious as Eloise is, she doesn’t ever seem to drift too far from her mama, Kayla, who always seems to keep a watchful eye on her.

Yes, life is good for Eloise, especially at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, which features award-winning habitats where she can learn, grow, and play while Kayla watches over her.

More About Eloise

According to this other video from the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, Eloise was born to Kayla, a southern white rhino, on November 28.

Kayla and Eloise have been able to enjoy some very important bonding time this holiday season, both at the zoo’s African Adventure savanna exhibit and in their private enclosure.

Unsurprisingly, this video’s caption states that Kayla is a natural mother and has been doing an “amazing job” with baby Eloise. According to the zoo’s press release, Eloise is the fifth calf that Kayla has given birth to.

The IUCN Red List currently lists southern white rhinos as a “near threatened” species, so Eloise’s birth and wonderful progress are both great news for the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and her species in general.

These videos leave no doubt that Eloise is in good hands. Anyone fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of her in her savanna habitat at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo will be lucky to see this joyous little tank puppy hopping around, doing her thing.
