SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A landmark class-action ruling came down this week in Mirabelli, et al. v. Olson, et al., essentially ending California’s gender secrecy policies while restoring transparency and parental involvement in public education.

The decision and federal court order issuing a class-wide permanent injunction from U.S. District Court Judge Roger T. Benitez just days before Christmas. Thomas More Society represented the two teachers, Elizabeth Mirabelli and Lori West, from the Escondido Union School District, located in San Diego County, as well as the families that joined the suit.

KUSI was joined by Paul M. Jonna, Special Counsel at Thomas More Society and Partner at LiMandri & Jonna LLP, for more on the appeal by the California Attorney General Rob Bonta and what he expects to happen next.
