FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A fire in Central Fresno has displaced three people.
Fresno City Fire responded to The Parks at Fig Garden on Ashlan and Fruit around 6 pm Saturday.
Authorities say crews received calls with reports of a person stuck inside an apartment.
The person was able to escape and when crews arrived, firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the one apartment.
Officials say the apartment is severely damaged, but crews were able to keep everyone safe.
”The difficulty with these apartment complexes is they’re very tight quarters,” says Daniel Montag with Fresno City Fire. “We have a lot of equipment and a lot of individuals who come in to assist us and and extinguish these fires.”
The person who escaped the apartment fire was attended to by medical staff.
Authorities say the fire is still under investigation.
