BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The new year is almost here. Some may already have plans and others may not.
For those who do not have plans, there are some events you can attend in Kern County.
Mento Buru at CALM
Bakersfield’s own Mento Buru is set to perform at the HolidayLights at CALM at the annual New Year’s Eve Extravaganza on Dec. 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to organizers.
There will be more than three million lights illuminating the zoo grounds at the family-friendly night of dancing and music.

Downtown Coffee Rave
The Downtown Business Association is hosting its Downtown Coffee Rave on New Year’s Eve from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., according to organizers.
The event will be held at In Your Wildest Dreams located at 2819 F St.
The event is set to feature music and coffee with drip coffee at $3 and holiday drinks at $5.
Hard Rock Casino Tejon
The Hard Rock Casino Tejon is one of the newest spots to party and celebrate the new year. Legendary rock vocalist Bret Michaels on Dec. 31 is set to perform at the for a private event but Michaels’ performance will be played throughout the casino for visitors.
There will also be a fireworks display at midnight to ring in 2026.
Hard Rock says party favors will be handed out throughout the night to mark the start of the new year.
The Iron Lily
The Iron Lily is set to host is Epic New Tear’s Eve 80’s Party on Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Jan. 1. Guests are encouraged to ring in 2026 in style with leg warmers and big hair.
The party starts at 7 p.m. with a dinner buffet, a special ticket is needed, doors for general admission open at 8 p.m., according to organizers.
The casino opens at 8:30 p.m., live music starts at 9 p.m., there will be a 80s costume contest at 11:30 p.m. and the balloon drop is set for midnight.
Tickets will be available at the door. This event is for people 21 and older.

Ay Mi Pa
Ay Mi Pa is set to host its Glitz and Glam New Year’s Eve Party from 9 p.m. Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, according to organizers.

Rock and Wings
The Rock and Wings location on Niles Street is set to host its 2026 Silver and Gold Party from 8 p.m. Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. Jan. 1.
Organizers said there is set to be live music from La Marcha and Grupo Feliz. The night is set to be full of music and fun surprises.

#Coast2CoastNYE Countdown to 2026 set to rock with music, special guests, and fireworks
The Padre Hotel
The Padre Hotel is set to host its ’90s themed New Year’s Eve Party from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, according to organizers.
The event is set to feature Social Vibe DJ on the first floor and a Battle of the DJs silent Disco on the second floor.
Organizers said there is a balloon drop set for midnight.
Attire from the ’90s is encouraged but not required.

Flight Adventure Park
Flight Adventure Park is set to host its first annual kid-friendly Noon Year’s Eve Celebration from 10 a.m. to Noon Dec. 31.
The event is set to feature festive crafts, photo opportunities, an apple juice toast and more.

Dave and Buster’s
Dave and Buster’s is set to host its New Year’s Eve event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to organizers.
The family-friendly event is set to feature games, food and drinks. Organizers said Wednesday is half price game day at Dave and Buster’s.
A ball drop is set for 5:50 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to organizers.
