Nearly 4,400 residents in several San Diego neighborhoods were without power Thursday morning as heavy rains moved through the area, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.
The utility reported that about 745 customers in Clairemont, Bay Park and Morena lost power around 7:50 a.m. due to an unplanned outage related to severe weather.
Another 3,620 customers in Logan Heights, Mountain View and Lincoln Park were also without electricity beginning at about the same time.
The cause of the outages was under investigation, and no estimate was provided for when service would be restored, SDG&E said.
