Thousands of people showed up Saturday morning for the “No Kings” march in downtown San Diego. Marches were also being held at more than a dozen other locations in San Diego County.
The “No Kings” events locally are among others going on around the country. Organizers say the events are designed to be peaceful protests of the Trump administration. People were seen holding signs, banners and American flags.
About 2,500 events worldwide were planned, including at least 14 in San Diego County. In addition to downtown, events were planned for locations including El Cajon, Chula Vista, Borrego Springs, Carlsbad, Ramona, Vista, Mira Mesa and La Jolla.
