(FOX40.COM) — The West Sacramento Police Department, along with State Lottery officials, worked to arrest a burglar earlier this week.
West Sacramento police said one of the day shift patrol teams responded to a report of a burglary at a business near Sacramento and Bryte Avenue. When officers arrived, they determined the suspect had forced entry into the building and stolen lottery tickets.
Through a quick response with the California State Lottery, WSPD stated that its officers were able to locate the suspect.
Authorities reported that the suspect was arrested and booked into the Yolo County Jail, as discoveries of stolen lottery tickets and a considerable amount of cash were recovered.

‘This is a great example of the strong partnership between our officers, community, and allied agencies, partnerships we look forward to carrying into the New Year as we continue serving our West Sac community,” WSPD said in a Facebook post.
