A crash involving a gas tanker left state Route 67 in Poway closed for several hours Friday morning, authorities said.
The collision of the fuel truck and a smaller vehicle was reported just after 5:25 a.m. near Ellie Lane, less than a mile north of Poway Road, sheriff’s Lt. Sean Gallagher said.
The driver of the smaller vehicle was trapped, but was freed and taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries, Gallagher said.
None of the fuel the truck was hauling spilled, Gallagher said.
The road was closed in both directions. It remained closed as of 10 a.m. but was expected to open soon.
