Law enforcement in West Sacramento recovered stolen cash and lottery tickets after a reported break-in and burglary, according to a statement from the West Sacramento Police Department (WSPD).
‘This is a great example of the strong partnership between our officers, community, and allied agencies, partnerships we look forward to carrying into the New Year as we continue serving our West Sac community,” WSPD said in a Facebook post.
WSPD worked with State Lottery officials to locate the tickets and cash after a day patrolman responded to a burglary report at a business near Sacramento and Bryte Avenue. Officers determined that the suspect forced their way into the building and stole lottery tickets.
State Lottery officials assisted WSPD in locating the suspect, leading to an arrest after the recovery of the lottery tickets and a considerable amount of cash.
