A juvenile was detained after allegedly firing a gun at his father in south Sacramento before leading deputies on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Officials said deputies initially responded to a report of shots fired Saturday morning on Diana Way. The sheriff’s office said the juvenile and his father were arguing when the juvenile grabbed a firearm and fired multiple rounds in his father’s direction. The father was uninjured and was able to leave in his vehicle. Following the heated altercation, officials said the juvenile stole his grandmother’s pickup truck and drove after his father. Deputies attempted to pull over the juvenile, the sheriff’s office said, but instead, the juvenile led deputies on a pursuit. The sheriff’s office said the pursuit ended when the juvenile crashed into an iron rod fence. The juvenile was detained, and officials said a loaded firearm was found inside the pickup truck. The sheriff’s office said the juvenile and his father were arguing when the juvenile grabbed a firearm and fired multiple rounds in his father’s direction. The father was uninjured and was able to leave in his vehicle.
