CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — A toddler and their mother were hit by a truck Saturday afternoon in the Trader Joe’s parking lot on Willow and Nees Avenues, Clovis Police say.
When officers arrived, they found the toddler awake and alert with injuries. The mother, who was also hit, had no injuries.
The child was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The driver was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence and for injuring the toddler.
