Man arrested for DUI after hitting a toddler in a parking lot, police say

CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) — A man was arrested for DUI after hitting a woman and her child in a parking lot, police say.

Clovis Police received a call that a toddler was hit by a truck in a Trader Joe’s parking lot just before 2:30 p.m.

The toddler was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries and is reported to be in stable condition.

The mom was also hit in the incident and was seen by EMS for minor injuries.

Officers arrested 62-year-old Steve Myer for DUI.
