The San Francisco 49ers hosted the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday night, and they were defeated 13-3 to finish their 2025 regular-season campaign with a 12-5 record.

San Francisco’s effort on Saturday was just not good enough to win this division game. Now, if the Los Angeles Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the 49ers will drop to the sixth seed.

As we do after every game, let’s take a look at some of the best and worst performances from the 49ers on Saturday night and hand out some credit and criticism.

BEST: K Eddy Pineiro

Anytime a kicker is leading the best performances list, it’s easy to tell how the game went. Pineiro attempted one field goal and made it from 48 yards. He’s been incredible this year. San Francisco should try to bring him back next year.

Seattle’s duo of Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet was far from the best this year, but Robert Saleh’s defense allowed them to run all over them. The pair combined for 171 yards and a touchdown on 5.2 yards per attempt. Whether it was the tackling or setting the edge, San Francisco needed to be better.

BEST: P Thomas Morstead

Any time the punter is the second player on the list of best performances, it’s even easier to see how the game went. Morstead punted four times, averaging 45.3 yards per boot. One of his four punts was caught for a fair catch inside Seattle’s 20-yard line.

WORST: Offensive line

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy was under pressure constantly on Saturday, taking three sacks and getting hit several times, including on his final pass of the game, which landed him directly in the blue medical tent. San Francisco’s running game wasn’t great either, as Christian McCaffrey rushed for 23 yards on 2.9 yards per attempt, and Brian Robinson Jr. carried the ball twice for nine yards.

BEST: DE Sam Okuayinonu

The 49ers haven’t gotten much pressure this year, but they recorded two sacks on Saturday, including one from Okuayinonu, who also got another tackle for a loss and another lick on Sam Darnold.
