OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WEVV) — Authorities responded to a burglary report in the 7000 block of South 750 East near Somerville on January 4, 2026.
Deputies was dispatched to the scene where the reporting party indicated a shotgun had been stolen.
Evidence collected by officials identified 30-year-old Clay Pflug of Oakland City and a green 2000 Dodge Dakota as being involved in the incident.
Deputies and the Oakland City Police Chief located Pflug and the vehicle at a local establishment.
Following a brief investigation, the stolen shotgun was recovered, and Pflug was taken into custody.
Pflug was transported to the Gibson County Detention Center where he was charged with burglary while armed with a deadly weapon, residential entry, and theft of a firearm.
