(KBTX) – The Texas A&M football team received a commitment from Fresno State transfer tight end Richie Anderson III Sunday, his agent Ty Stover confirmed with KBTX.
In two seasons with the Bulldogs, Anderson tallied 447 yards on 49 catches and three receiving touchdowns. Of that, 300 yards and three touchdowns were a part of Fresno State’s 2025 campaign.
He is one of four transfer commitments the Aggies received Sunday, including Tulsa linebacker Ray Coney, LSU offensive lineman Coen Echols and Colorado safety Tawfiq Byard.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound tight end was a 3-star recruit as a linebacker out of Tualatin High School (Tualatin, Or.). He played both linebacker and tight end in high school and was a two-time all-state selection.
Anderson is the second tight end the Aggies have added out of the portal in this window, following former UTSA and College Station High School’s Houston Thomas. A&M lost tight end Nate Boerkicher to eligibility and Theo Melin Öhrström to the transfer portal.
Anderson’s commitment was first reported by Gig’em 247’s Carter Karels and Joseph Hastings.
