FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Central Valley Community Foundation is marking its 60th anniversary, celebrating decades of investment in the region and a renewed commitment to creating opportunity for all.
Founded in 1966, the foundation began with a mission to support local nonprofits and charitable efforts.
For more than half a century, it focused on strengthening the community through philanthropy and collaboration.
In 2015, the organization adopted a community leadership model, shifting its approach to address systemic challenges and amplify voices that had previously gone unheard.

This transformation has positioned the foundation as a catalyst for progress, aligning resources with the region’s most pressing needs and long-term goals.
As it celebrates six decades of service, the Central Valley Community Foundation invites the community to join in “Lifting Our Valley” and shaping a future of equity and growth.
