FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in central Fresno.
The Fresno Police Department says officers were called out to Fresno Street and Carmen Avenue, just south of McKinley Avenue, around 5:45 a.m. for reports of a crash
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s or 50s who had been hit by a vehicle.
Paramedics performed CPR and rushed the man to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead.
Officers say he appears to be part of the unhoused community.
The driver remained on scene.
No drugs or alcohol seem to be a factor in this crash.
