BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The man and woman dead after an apparent murder-suicide in northeast Bakersfield were divorced, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Police told 17 News the man and woman dead after the apparent murder-suicide were divorced but living together.
They were identified as Pedro Juan Rivera Gonzalez, 49, and Francis B Lainez Romero, 55, both of Bakersfield, according to the coroner’s office.
The cause and manner of their deaths is pending, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
Autopsies will determine the cause and manner of their deaths.
Just after 10 p.m. on Dec. 25, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Blade Avenue.
