SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks added some organization depth in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, acquiring goalie Laurent Brossoit, defenseman Nolan Allan, and a 2028 seventh-round selection for the contract of defenseman Ryan Ellis, AHL defenseman Jake Furlong, and a 2028 fourth-round selection.
Brossoit, 32, has played in 140 NHL games in his 12-year professional career, compiling a 64-46-13 record and a .911 save percentage with the Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets, and Vegas Golden Knights. Brossoit was on Vegas’ Stanley Cup-winning roster in 2022-23, where he appeared in eight games, recording a .894 save percentage along with a 5-2 record.
